I’m really stoked about my new Unveiled Seductions series, set in a world parallel to ours but inhabited by all the beings we’ve relegated to myth. In my world beyond the Veil science and magic combine, and you never know who, or what, you’ll meet. Perhaps a sexy West African storm god, or a troll who will shatter your perception of what a troll is, or could be. There are elves and dragon shifters too, along with werewolves, vampires, goblins, and a host of other beings, many getting into mischief of the most erotic type.
This has given me the opportunity to write some of my favorite heroes to this point, and forced me, through research and imagination, to consider really carefully what makes each one sexy. Of course a little magic, both as a part of the character and between the heroes and heroines, goes a long way.
But although Jakuta, the storm god hero of Fleeing Fate, emits prickles (and sometimes more!) of electricity when aroused, that alone isn’t enough to make him perfect for Gràinne, his banshee lover. And not even his easy sensuality and seductive abilities are sufficient. He’s a truly stormy man, who, in his own words, “may have over three thousand years of anger management under his belt, but it didn’t always help.” When Gràinne needs his assistance, Jakuta has to find the strength to put his natural propensity to blast his way through life aside and respond with both compassion and calm. Seeing a man with that kind of personality become tender and sweet—now that’s sexy!
As for Vidar, the mountain troll who is shy and solitary by nature, giving in to the woman who’s been lusting after him takes a leap of faith and massive step outside of his comfort zone. Jasmina, the heroine in Stone-Hard Passion is more beautiful than any he’s met before. Believing she’s truly interested is the first hurdle of many he has to overcome. His complete focus on Jasmina and need to ensure her pleasure, is amazing, but for me it’s his willingness to lay everything on the line for her that makes him a true and utterly sexy hero.
