Today we have the lovely Sabrina York taking over the Sheets and for one of you lucky readers she has a free copy of one of her ebooks. Take it away Sabrina!
How long have you been writing? I have been writing my whole life, but I didn’t start writing erotica until I was all grown up. It was a long journey and there were many times when I thought about giving up. But you know what they say. If you can quit writing, you probably should.
Characters come to me, talk to me, whisper in my ear all the time. The only way to get them to chill out is to write them.
I sold my first book to Ellora’s Cave in 2011 and it came out April 4th 2012, so I am celebrating my one year anniversary this month. I have about ten titles out and a bunch more on the way. I really enjoy writing steamy erotic romances with a love story at the core. And, did I mention, a lot of sex?
What is the most you have written in one day? My best writing day was 15,000 words. Oh. It was dreamy. I have commandeered the family beach house (and yes, I have to SHARE it with siblings!). No one was there buy lil old me and the dog. And maybe a bottle of vino—but I didn’t touch it until my work was done, I promise! I think the reason I was able to write so much that day—and all of it good—was because I wrote in sprints. Just 500-word chunks at a time. Oh. Also, did I mention no one else was there? It was wonderful.
Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing? Other than my dyslexia? Hmm. Let me think. Everything. Writing isn’t easy. From wrangling with the plot to getting to know the characters to agonizing over word choice—it’s a challenge. Editing is a little easier now that I have an editor to tell me what to fix. And I do love her. But there are moments when I want to rip out my hair. The payoff is when—after long, agonizing hours of work—I realize I actually like what I’ve done. And I won’t let a book go until I’m there.
What is your best guilty pleasure? (By best I mean worst.) This is a dangerous question. And not just because there are so many to choose from. (I am a naughty girl, after all). Let’s just go with Toddlers in Tiaras. No. Wait. Dance Moms. Yeah. I think it’s a tie. I love reality television. And the trashier the better. (Though I don’t like overly screamy or yelly shows.)
What are your current projects? I have a bunch in the works. Readers of Adam’s Obsession and Tristan’s Temptation have been begging for Jack’s story (and they all wanted him punished a little, LOL) so I am in edits on Making over Maris. Readers of Folly and Dark Fancy wanted to see more in that series so I wrote and am now editing Edward and Violet’s stories. I am also editing an erotic fantasy that takes place in a Magic Lamp called Lust Eternal. On top of that, I just launched Rebound the first book of the Tryst Island Series (which I am self publishing on a dare because I cannot resist a dare). I’ve plotted out 10 novellas in that series. I also have three submission requests from publishers I met at EPICON for books I haven’t written yet and am kicking around a series idea with Cerise DeLand and Desiree Holt. Phew! Looks like the next year or so is booked. I should probably go LIVE at that beach house!
Can you share a little of your current work with us? Sure! Rebound is the first book in the Tryst Island Series about a group of friends (surprise, surprise) sharing a beach house on the Washington coast. In Rebound, Kristi and Cam have had secret crushes on each other for years, but it’s not until they both find themselves unattached that they leap into that long desired affair.
So tell me…Have you ever leapt into a relationship on the rebound? Was it a disaster, or did you find yourself in the arms of the man of your dreams?

Here’s a taste of Rebound…
A Tryst Island Erotic Romance
Kristi Cross has had the hots for her friend, Cameron Jackson as long as she could remember, but she knows she’s not his type. She’s nothing like the women he dates. So when he suggests they play for a kiss over a game of Hearts, Kristi can’t resist. Even if she loses, she wins. Because she’s finally going to taste him.
Of course, one kiss can quickly become something altogether steamier, especially when both parties are on the rebound…
An Excerpt from Rebound
He really wasn’t paying attention. He was busy planning his assault. If he lost the game, he got to kissher. And he wanted to kiss her. In fact, the desire, the need to orchestrate the entire clinch bubbled deep in his gut.
He dealt again, trying not to glance at the clock. This should be the last hand if he played his cards right. Or wrong, as the case may be.
And yes. She won. Easily. In fact, she spanked him.
Although he didn’t let his mind linger on that image. It was far too distracting.
Instead, he leaped to his feet so quickly his chair toppled over. He ignored it—and her little ‘eep’—and came around the table in a rush to yank her into his arms and…yes! Yes. The feel of her, molded against him, was delicious. He’d known it would be.
The scent of her shampoo, or her perfume, or just Kristi, enticed him. He drew it in, savoring the moment, the knife’s edge of intense anticipation.
“You won,” he murmured, gazing down into her wide hazel eyes. “Now I have to kiss you.”
Her lashes fluttered. Her lips pursed. She wiggled a little against him and his cock stirred. “You haveto? Well, isn’t that just—”
She didn’t finish. Whatever she’d been about to say never made it out of her mouth because he took her then. He dipped his head and settled his lips over hers and ate the words, consumed them. A thrill shot through his solar plexus at the contact. Warm, supple, sweet. Fragrant.
He surprised her by diving in like that. She went a little stiff, but it didn’t take long for her to relax and respond.
And hell. Did she respond. Did she ever.
The kiss, which he’d intended to be slow and provocative, quickly raged into something else altogether. And when she uttered a throaty moan and her tongue peeped out to touch his, he nearly lost his mind.
Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers? I love you!
Cake/Cookies? No carbs. LOL
Heels/Flats? Flats…I’m always on the run
BDB/The Order? I have no idea what these are.
Vampires/Werewolves? Keep your sharp teeth to yourself.
