PS – this is my little extra for you 🙂

We all like a little extra. Hot chocolate with extra whipped cream. A jug of Margarita with extra lime. Pizza with extra olives.

DVDs almost always have extras, mini-documentaries, behind the scenes chats and interviews, bloopers and gag reels. And these days, lots of author blogs are offering them too. Some of my favourite authors offer bonus stories and deleted scenes, and it seems like a logical progression of their novels. You get caught up in the characters and then when you’ve finished the book, it’s a delight to be able to get some sneak peeks into their lives.

I love extras so much that I decided to create some of my own. If you check out the stickies at the top of my blog (or click the covers below), you’ll see I have extras for both Obsession AND Wolf At The Door. Do please take a look, I’d love to hear your feedback 🙂

And now I’ve got you hooked on extras, here are some of my favourites out there in AuthorVille. Happy reading 🙂

Olivia Cunning

She writes the books I aspire to, and has everything a fan could possibly wish for on her blog. Deleted scenes, interviews with her rockers, short stories, and cool articles. Who could possibly resist ‘Writing About Rockstars is Like Herding Cats’?

Nalini Singh

I adore her Psy/Changeling world and if you check out her website, you can find plenty of extras and deleted scenes.

Sylvia Day

Not only does she have free reads, but free swag! Postcards and trading cards.

JR Ward

Love her ‘slices of life’, little peeks at the BDB behind the scenes. Did you know she also has playlists for her vamps? 🙂

DB Reynolds

If you’re (like me) a fan of her Vampires in America series, there are a couple of deleted scenes on her blog.

And the clever ladies at Love, Lust & Laptops wrote an entire anthology of free stories, set around a strip bar * fans myself * These are seriously hot stuff!

It’s worth taking the time to check out your favourite author’s blogs, you never know what you might find. And if you could request any extra, what would it be?
