continental breakfast - coverBella Darcy is personal assistant, muse and plaything to wealthy businessman Mr. Pettifor. Their 9-5 relationship is unconventional, but mutually satisfying.

Mr. Pettifor is alpha male personified – demanding, stern, insatiable, emotionally closed-off and seemingly indifferent to anything that doesn’t involve six zeros behind it.

Bella had never wanted more until the day she heard passionate cries that didn’t belong to her, coming from his office. Deeply hurt and realizing that she cannot be with a man who can so blatantly be with another woman while she is mere feet away, Bella turns in her letter of resignation, throwing Mr. Pettifor into a tailspin. Everything he’s worked so hard for now seems insignificant and the woman whom he trained to be everything he wanted, has now decided to move on, leaving him reeling.

This morning has turned out to be a particularly good one. Three orgasms and a pussy stuffing that will leave me sore for at least 24 hours. I do cherish days like this.

19811844_sMs Darcy (Bella) is conducting an affair with her boss, Mr Pettifor. His particular speciality is what he calls his Continental Breakfast – where he eats out the more-than-willing Bella on his desk, usually two or three times each week.

There is simply mind-blowing and deeply satisfying sex.  We share a symbiotic relationship that goes without saying. His needs are met and so are mine.

They’ve been sexual partners for some time and Bella is understandably distressed when another woman, instantly nicknamed Leggy Blonde, appears to claim his attention.

This week, she has presented herself three times. When I heard her impassioned orgasmic cries coming from his office, I knew at that moment, it was time for me to move on.

11575434_lBella is for the first time, unenthusiastic about providing Mr Pettifor’s Continental Breakfast:

We’ve never agreed to monogamy. In fact, I’m sure he’s been with other women. He is a man of great wealth, of course he’s been with other women. I guess I’m so hurt because he’s had Leggy Blonde here at work, at our place. Within these four walls of his office, Mr Pettifor belongs to me.

She types out her letter of resignation and attends one last dinner function with him, but to her despair Leggy Blonde is also at the dinner.

19655578_sHe smiles when she makes some charming remarks and laughs with her. It’s so unfair that he’s never smiled like that at me. That smile should be mine.

She leaves the function when he’s not looking and for the first time in their relationship, Mr Pettifor is off balance, especially when she tells him of her future plans:

“You’re planning on attending medical school?” he whispers.

“If I’m accepted, yes, Sir.”

“Why didn’t you tell me this before?”

“You never asked.”

I loved the relationship dynamics between the couple, how Ms Darcy suddenly holds all the cards. She doesn’t abuse this power though, in fact, she is barely aware of it. Her sole focus is on finding a suitable replacement secretary, so that she can leave while her heart is still mostly intact. Amelie looks to be perfect.

“So Ms. Darcy has told you about my sexual proclivities, yes?” he asks.

True to form and making me proud, Amelie doesn’t flinch. “Yes, Mr. Pettifor, she has. She was very forthcoming regarding your needs. I promise you that I’m a trustworthy person. I would even go so far as to sign any kind of documentation regarding my confidentiality regarding this matter.”

21772851_lAt first, Continental Breakfast seems a little cool and calculated and then you realise that’s Bella’s professional image, the perfectly efficient and unemotional secretary. She calls him Mr. Pettifor, even during sex, and he only calls her Ms. Darcy. Once Leggy Blonde is on the scene, the cracks appear.

We see the hard working Mr Pettifor only through Bella’s eyes, and so we feel her angst and disappointment, and her torment over leaving him.

He’s never taken me this way, no man ever has, but tonight I won’t deny him. After all, this will be the last time we share this kind of closeness.

At 58 pages, this novelette is a hot and quick read, but Ella Dominguez has crafted a delicious and multi-layered tale of office romance, and I couldn’t put it down. I was thrilled to find she’s also written another with these characters, but from Mr Pettifor’s POV (Continental Beginnings) and I look forward to reading it 🙂
