It was my birthday yesterday, and I had a lovely day. I started with the normal, walking Skye and Beau on an absolutely beautiful morning in the Shropshire countryside, followed by a quiet day of pottering.

And in the evening my family and I all had a meal, delivered by our local Indian restaurant and we sat outside taking in the glorious evening. Right up until the storm hit and we all had to pick up our plates and run for shelter. Well, actually we ambled because nobody really cared.

It was a great day, a special day and I was delighted with the company. I really do love birthdays. I got to open plenty of presents too…

I’ve been extra busy this month because Hartwood Publishing have contracted all my original books in the Atlantic Divide Series and as well as getting Gun Shy ready for publication and currently writing the fifth book in that series, I’m taking the opportunity to re-edit those original ones. Bad Girl Bill is the one I’m working on right now and despite not changing the story, I’ve found I have expanded this one considerably. Let’s just wait and see what my editor has to say about that. I had every intention of getting it back to her by the end of this weekend, but  someone’s *cough, cough* birthday arrangements got in the way. Because we all know if you have a birthday on a Friday, the whole weekend is yours to partay.

Anyway, if you’d like a peek, both Gun Shy (newest book in the series, but Book 1) and Loving Lydia (a re-issue) are available on pre-order with 20% discount.
